The spark.

February 5, 2017

All it takes is just one spark,
strike a match and see it arc.
If it catches it will grow,
watch and see it burn and glow.

If you want to light your fire,
you must help the flames grow higher.
Stoke the furnace, watch it blaze.
Feel the heat and it's bright rays.

If you give want love to ignite,
kindle it with all your might.
Never let it fade away,
tend it well and it will stay.

And one day when your fire is gone,
it's heat returns back to the sun.
The torch is passed high in the dark,
waiting to catch a brand new spark.
