Just another carer.

September 30, 2016

Just another pensioner needing extra care,
Just another family crying with despair.
Just another heartache with scars that will not mend,
Just another poor old soul waiting for the end.

Just another carer working through the night,
Just another ten hour shift doing what is right.
Just another care home, just another day,
Just a touch of kindness to wipe the tears away.

Just a precious moment seeing someone smile,
Just a special person who goes the extra mile.
Just a pound of laughter, just an ounce of fun,
just respect for others  before the day is done.

Just another minute, just another hour,
Just support and dignity helping someone shower.
Just another carer, worth more than burnished gold,
Just another angel to help as you grow old.
